          balotara is answer of heavily rain in pushkar.luni rivers way from nag pahar ajmer to balotara

          Naresh said...

          Hi Jaideep,
          there are different theories regarding that.
          First as it starts from Naga pahad which is in Ajmer so it may be Ajmer, secondly since the water of luni river reaches Balotra so it may also be the answer, thirdly some may say that as Pali's water level is lower so it may also be the answer and fourthly since Luni reaches not only to Balotra but it flows to Rann of Kutch so that may be the answer :)
          thats why its doubtful for me .

          hi all....
          i feel that Desert is the most stable ecosystem..... cos the state of desert always remains the same....nothing can change a Desert... dont u think so.....

          Naresh said...

          Hi Mahendra,
          you are right in saying that it's not red Panda in fact its Giant Panda but that's the most appropriate one.
          regarding most stable ecosystem there are some doubts according to some sources as the temperature variation is not much in marine ecosystem so its most stable.

          UMANG NANDWANA said...

          THE answer is BALOTRA for sure coz, if some one goes to last years paper the same type question asked as the place situated below the base level of river, the answer was BALOTRA and river was LUNI. This years question wanted that heavy rain in NAG PAHAR will result in great flow in LUNI but not flooding AJMER coz its a hilly place and well above the base level of river in its young course. BALOTRA is in OLD STAGE of LUNI and prone to flooding which is a plane area. Similarly like rain in NEPAL causes flooding in BIHAR.

          Incorrect about Inflation : INFLATION RATE GOING DOWN DOES NOT MEAN PRICES ARE DECLINING

          see the article at : http://bcognizance.iiita.ac.in/apr-jun08/inflation.htm
          third statement is incorrect if we consider it only for India, but overall it's true.
          It is important to recognize that the inflation rate going down does not mean prices are declining. It only means the rate at which the prices are going up has slowed down.

          what Harman is saying about inflation is absolutely true becoz if prices decline that is DEFLATION.

          Inflation always mean rise in general price level, even if that is at a decreasing rate..

According to my point of view there is still some answers, which are doubtful and can not solved with RPSC rectification.

          best of luck to all of you.

          Hi amit,

          I dont know about history, but considering the limited number of vacancies this year, its hard to predict the cut off this time.. Consider this, in 2003, the cut-off for general candidate was 280 (if the rumour is to be believed) even though there were more than 500 vacancies.. In 2008, the vacancies are only 150 or so.. so with this logic, the cut-off shd be higher than 280, even though there are other factors also to be considered like the quality of question paper and scaling criterion.

          I have apperaed for RAS mains twice in the past, so if i can tell from my whatever little experience i have, i think the cut-off shd be around 240-250 for general candidate (inclusive of the negative marking and scaling).. Personally, i have a score of around 240-245 after negative marking, with my optional subject as sociology.. Im jus keeping my fingers crossed ....

          Dear All,
          there is some news from reliable inside sources.
          first, let me introduce myself. i am Inder Choudhary, done my MBA, just now preparing exclusively for RAS belonging to OBC (Creamy Layer)i.e.General Category.

          News is that RPSC has asked for classification of services that is reservation roster category wise from DOP, all sheets have been scanned way back, the day RPSC gets classification, next day they are in position to declare but RPSC has decided first to declare mains result.
          The mains result is now ready and in process of final compilation. So we can safely assume that mains result would be out within a week that is till 15th and prelims result definitely within ten days of mains result.
          A thought about cut offs, as GK is not scaled so whichever year GK paper is easy and major subjects like history and pol. sc., pub. ad. is easy the cutoff goes high like once it went to 270 after scaling specially when seats were slight more. This year the GK paper was moderately tough, pub. ad. was hard like rocket science, history was easy but not cake walk & pol. Sc. was easy, the seats are less but have increased slightly at present. Please note the notification for slight increase in seats and classification of seats is in pipeline. So, my assumption is this year cut off would be around 230-240 for general category & around same for OBC and other categories proportionately less.
          lets hope for the best.

          Hi Inder,
          first of all welcome on this blog, hope your expertise will help many others who are preparing for this exam.
          well one of the friend enquired the RPSC office and according to him they told him that RAS 2007 mains result will be out in the last week of Feb. Anyway its good if it comes in Feb only as many of us are eagerly waiting for it.
          cheers !

          Hello Naresh Sir, Iam Anil and want to know What is the eligibility for School Lect? Is B.Ed. is mandatory for the same. Pl let me know. I dont have the RPSC notification of May 08. Now RPSC has issued the corrigendum to that notifiction and the last date has been extended upto 06 Mar 09.(www.rpsc.gov.in)

          Inder Choudhary said...

          Dear All,
          Correction is needed in my previous mail of yesterday. Today there is news in newspaper Bhaskar which says
          "RPSC has previously decided to declare mains result just after RJS exam but due to intense work of patwari exam, the mains result probably would be out in march after RPSC eases from patwari exam"
          My information source was a lower cadre person who perhaps did have access to old decision but not newer decision.
          There is no talk about prelims result, previosly RPSC has thought to publish after mains result, now let us see whether they wait for pre results also.
          The great thing about RPSC results is that lots of speculation comes into play as they change their mindset at times.
          have a nice wait!

          hi sir how merit for ras pre is prepared
          and how many marks are needed to qualify for mains i have computer engg as optional subject

          Naresh said...

          RAS prel merit is based on scaled marks obtained by candidates, the scaled marks are calculated using one statistical formula, so your raw marks that is your real marks in the subject may be decreased or increased. It seems the cutoff this time will be around 220-230 out of 400

          Naresh said...

          scaling formula used by RPSC

          scaled mark=M+(X-m)S/s
          where M=overall mean of all optional subjects
          X=Your raw marks
          m=mean of your optional
          S=standard deviation of all optional subjects
          s=standard deviation of your optional
